Equipment

• Digital scale that reads to 1 g or better (our picks)
• Stick blender
• Heat-safe plastic (#5 PP) or stainless pitcher for lye
• Silicone or lined loaf mold
• Thermometer
• Spatulas and a stainless or plastic bowl (never aluminum)

Ingredients

• Sodium hydroxide (100% pure)
• Distilled water
• Oils for your recipe, weighed
• Optional: essential oil at a safe rate

• Everything weighed and labeled
• Workspace cleared and covered
